In the Odyssey by Homer, Ulysses and his men were captured by a Cyclops. The Cyclops pushed a huge boulder, so even if Ulysses slayed the Cyclops he would be trapped. He eventually devised an escape on the Cyclops rams. Ulysses blinded the Cyclops and tied to the giant rams. The Cyclops did not feel the Greeks on the bodies of the ram.
Ulysses gave his name as "Nobody." So the other giants heard the Cyclops yelling, "Nobody has tricked me. Nobody has escaped from me. Nobody has blinded me." If my Cyclops could yell, she would be yelling "Nobody has kidnapped me."
