The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan starred Chinese detective Charlie Chan and his family solving mysteries. Charlie Chan was voice by Keye Luke who in 1940's as Charlie Chan's number 1 son.
The show would usually go like this, there would be a robbery and Charlie would do his work. He would be "assisted" by his ten kids. They would break up into three groups do seperate investigations following one of the suspects. They would get into a series of misadventures, never really catching the culprit in the act. They would all come together, naturally Charlie Chan would solve the case.
Henry, his oldest son, was voiced by Robert Ito (if you ever watch the old Quincy ME sort of uglier version of Body of Evidence, he was Jack Klugman's assistant) had a van that could be changed into say a bus, a cement mixer, or even a submarine/ Henry had a bumbling assistant in Stanley, a master of disguise. Bugs Bunny was a better master of disguise. In one episode the to of them were in the van when a wave was about to smash into them. Henry stuttered two which came at as two-two. Naturally Stanley changed into a tutu (which is pretty impressive being in the front seat of a van.
The kids also played in a rock band, HB had all of the bases covered included a family pet Choo Choo. The characters l to right Suzie, Anne (baseball cap and was voiced by Jodie Foster), Nancy, and Mimi. Here is an ealier picture of Suzie and Anne [link]
HB has been recycling some of their characters into shows Suzie Chan has appeared in Scooby Doo Mysteries Inc along with Peebles and Bamm Bamm and Vincent Van Ghoul of 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.
Cute little Chinese girls in bondage? Is it my birthday? Loving the Weird Gallery stuff so far. The narrator is pretty cute in her beret. Is it the same cute little Goth girl from "The Big Book of Death"? That's who she reminds me of.
